Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker

Job Description:

As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will be responsible for repair and inspection of various aircraft structural components at base maintenance facilities.

• Complete repairs/modifications in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions (SRM, SRI, SB, etc.)
• Install, repair, inspect and replace structural components, e.g. repair cracks, corrosion or deformation as part of an inspection or after a report
• Responsible for the safe and timely completion of structural repairs
• Ensure all repairs comply with aviation safety guidelines
• Safely handling of various metal tools and materials
• Complete relevant repair documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Perform composite repairs in accordance with OEM instructions

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Vocational training as an aircraft mechanic, alternatively training in mechanical engineering or metalworking
• At least 5 years’ experience in metalworking
• Proficient in using all standard and specific tools correctly
• Good English language skills
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Very good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
